Steve has a BA from UCT and a post graduate diploma in HR management from Wits. He also has a diploma in Labour Relations from Stellenbosch and has completed an online UCT programme in Executive Coaching.
He spent 12 years in the corporate world, during which time he held senior positions in training and development, HR management and labour relations.
Thereafter he formed and became the managing partner of his own consulting firm in Cape Town. In 1998 the firm joined forces with the Achievement Network based in England.
He specializes in improving individual and team performance. He works closely with managers, their direct reports and their teams at all levels. The focus of his work is built on the four essential pillars of motivation.
- Communicating effectively.
- Delegating properly.
- Participating productively.
- Recognising appropriately.
In his consulting career Steve has come to two, perhaps obvious, conclusions.
- Motivated staff are committed staff and are the key to a successful business.
- Authority must not be confused with wisdom – neither is the other.
